Terms of use

Last updated: 14 October 2026

These are AI notes on your own photos, to help you get ready for a building and pest inspection. They're not an inspection, we haven't measured how often the AI is right, and it can miss serious problems. Book a licensed building and pest inspector before you buy.

Who we are

Hometrics is run by Moonys Creek Enterprises Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). These terms apply when you use the Hometrics website, apps, calculators, buying guide chat, photo readings and shared links. By creating an account or using these features you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

What Hometrics is, and what it isn't

Hometrics helps you keep notes on homes you're looking at. You take the photos and decide what to save. An AI service reads your photos and gives a best guess at what it can see, such as a roof material or a crack, and suggests questions to ask.

Hometrics is not a building inspection, a pest inspection, a valuation, or legal, financial or tax advice. Nobody from Hometrics visits the property, and nobody checks the AI's readings for you. We are not building inspectors.

The AI can be wrong

We haven't measured how often the photo readings are right. A photo shows only part of a house, from one angle, at one moment. The AI can miss serious problems, including ones that are hidden, behind walls, under floors, in the roof space or simply out of shot. It can also name the wrong material or see a problem that isn't there.

If a photo reading doesn't mention a problem, that doesn't mean there isn't one. The same goes for the buying guide chat and any report summary: they are written by AI from what you gave it, and they can be incomplete or wrong.

Get a licensed inspection before you buy

Before you buy, get a licensed building and pest inspection, and get advice from a conveyancer or solicitor about the contract. Hometrics isn't designed to tell you whether to buy, make an offer, bid, negotiate or walk away, and nothing in it should be read that way.

Relying on Hometrics

Please don't rely on Hometrics alone to decide whether to buy a property or what to pay. Use it to help you notice things worth asking about, and check them with a qualified person.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded. Where the law lets us limit our liability, we limit it to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again.

Your photos

Your photos stay yours. You let us use them to run the features you ask for: sending them to our AI service to be read and storing them with your property notes. Please only upload photos you're allowed to take, and leave people and number plates out of shot where you can.

We only keep your photos longer to improve photo readings if you turn that on in your profile. It's off unless you choose it, and you can turn it off at any time. The Privacy Policy explains how long we keep photos and what we delete when you delete your account.

Sharing

When you create a share link, anyone with the link can see what it shows until it expires or you turn it off. A shared page shows your own photo notes and the AI's readings of them. It is not an inspection report, and you're responsible for making sure the people you share it with understand that. Shared pages carry the same limits line you see at the top of this page.

Calculators

The calculators give estimates from the figures you enter and the rules we've built in. Rates and rules change, so check the result with the relevant government office, a conveyancer or an accountant before you rely on it. See the Disclaimer for more.

Your account

Keep your login details private. Don't use Hometrics to break the law, to upload material you don't have the right to share, or to try to get around limits on how often features can be used. We may suspend an account that does.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When a change matters, we'll ask you to read and accept the new version the next time you use Hometrics.
